The new properties added 260 rooms to the City’ of Vaughans 's supply. Demands for hotel rooms have been strong and plans are already underway to expand the Monte Carlo Inn property. Interest for new hotel sites also remains strong. Two long-standing properties, the Vaughan Dodge Suites Hotel and Vaughan Super 8 Motel, changed ownership in 2006.

New commercial real estate properties in Vaughan and Vaughan industrial properties activity totalled $299 million in 2006.

The City of Vaughan is one of Canada’s fastest growing city in terms of new industrial construction. In terms of total industrial construction value for 2006, Vaughan ranks third overall in Canada.
